Breathe and let be

“Breathe and let be.” This line was written by Jon Kabat-Zinn in his book Wherever You Go, There You Are: Mindfulness Meditation in Everyday Life. When I plucked this leaf from where it had fallen, it was pure yellow and red. Now it has splotches of brown. The perfectionist in me wants to go searching right this minute for another perfect, just-fallen leaf. The other parts of me say, “Breathe and let be.”
