When I was reminded that today is Giving Tuesday, my first thought was “Oh no.” In this season of the year, in this season of life, I am giving so much of myself already. I don’t have any more left. And I am not OK with that. So today, I will first give to myself. Second, donate to asylum seekers.
I have been posting to this account daily for almost three months. Every day, when I sit down to create, I have been asking myself, “What is something true that I can share?”
Lately, I’ve sometimes been following up with, “And what is even more true than that?”
This is mostly a necessity; I need the congruence between my internal and external life, but it helps to get some validation.
Last night, I got a dose of that when I listed to @theunspokenpodcast hosted by @milesadcox and @ruthielindsey. In a recent episode, Mari Andrew said, “People relate to anyone who’s honest. Anyone.”
So here I am.
