No reason can be the best reason (Hand lettered by Emily PG Erickson)

Start Seeing Emotional Labor

Start seeing emotional labor (Hand lettered by Emily PG Erickson)

Today emotional labor often refers to the mostly unpaid, unrecognized work of supporting the comfort and happiness of our families and communities — in other words, women’s work.

Giving Tuesday

When I was reminded that today is Giving Tuesday, my first thought was "Oh no." In this season of the year, in this season of life, I am giving so much of myself already. I don't have any more left. And I am not OK with that. So today, I will first give to myself. Second, donate to asylum seekers. (Quote and hand lettering by Emily PG Erickson)

Sometimes you have to put on your own oxygen mask first before you can help others, especially when you’re giving so much of yourself already as a parent.
